手書き入力五線譜作成ソフトの StaffPad も，Muse Group の傘下に入ったそうです．
Scoring Notes の記事によると，2020年の 12月にはもう決まっていたようです．
MuseScore や Audacity だけでなく，StaffPad もかー．
それはそうとして，StaffPad がこれから導入する新機能について，興味深いことが書いてありました．

「Audio Staffs」自体は，まぁ，「波形トラックが追加される」くらいの話でそれは大したことはないのですが，その次に，

「音響信号を認識して五線譜化する機能を，今年（2021年）の後半に導入する」と書いてあるように読めます．
「五線譜」とは明言してありませんし，「usable, useful notation」が実際にどんな表現なのかはわかりませんが，StaffPad のことだし，「This magical feature converts ～」と言っているくらいなので，おそらくは，五線譜でしょう．
しかも，単旋律ではなく，多旋律の音響信号からできるそうです．
そうだとすると，「音響信号から自動採譜して五線譜化する機能」ということになります．
えぇー，できるのー？ 今年中にー？ ホントー？

Scoring Notes の記事には，「Audio staves and music transcription planned」と書いてあります．
そして，そこに書いてあることは，まさに「多旋律を含む音響信号から自動採譜して五線譜化する」話です．
おぉー，やるのかー．できるのかー？
ただ，この節の最後に，

とあるので，4月の Apple イベントのときとは少し状況が変わっていて，「2021年（今年）の後半までに「音響信号から自動採譜して五線譜化する機能（the audio recognition feature）」は導入されない」とのことです．
やっぱりねー．
もしかしたら，この処理の難しさに気づいたのかもしれないなぁ．
ピアノロール化するところまではもしかしたらできるかもしれないけれど，そこから普通に読める五線譜にするのは，また別の処理ですよねぇ．
でも，もしできたらすごいことだし便利ですよねー．
というか，できたときには何本か論文にして発表して欲しいなー．

手書き入力した楽譜が清書されて，演奏や各種形式での保存ができる楽譜アプリ StaffPad．これはすごい．MIDI/MusicXML import/export がすでにできるようになっているらしい．歌詞入力は，いまはできないけれども予定には入っているとのこと．
